YD University of Chicago Holds Grace-Filled Easter Service

Young Disciples minister visited Chicago and held an Easter service with Joshua at the University of Chicago.

Pastor Edward and Joshua held an Easter service at the Harper Memorial Library, where they went through the Lord’s declaration of the New Covenant, his crucifixion, his death and burial, his resurrection and appearances to the disciples, and the reaffirmation of Peter as the chief apostle.

Through the scripture readings and explications, the Holy Spirit deeply touched the minister and Joshua, and they prayed for a deeper commitment to obey the Lord in missions and that revival would occur not only at the school but also at all major universities nationwide.

YD Laos Easter Retreat: Celebrating the Risen Lord

On April 4-5, 2026, YD Laos chapter leader Zacchaue Lor joined Easter Retreat in Vientiane Immanuel Church, where the messages were preached by Pastor Anna, Leader Long Xue, Pastor Anna again, and Intern Pastor Nate. The sermons were based on the Four Spiritual Laws and were delivered in sequence by the speakers listed above.

During the Easter gathering, members and participants learned various teachings about faith in the Creator, as well as about the sins we have committed-sins of pride and unwillingness to obey God. But thanks be to Jesus Christ, who came to pay the price for the curse, sin, and death that belonged to us.

Therefore, we have all received freedom once again and have been released from the punishment of our wrongdoing. All of this is by the grace and love of God, who gave His only Son to die on the cross to bear the sins of us all.

Now, we are called to proclaim the Gospel and lead others to know the Lord, so that they too may be saved and take part in building the Kingdom of God. Young people, students, and youth are therefore called to diligently learn about God and to faithfully worship Him more steadfastly in this evil age.

YD Myanmar Conducts the First Bible Study

On March 30, 2026, Leader Esther from YD Myanmar conducted a study session on Creation Lessons 1 and 2 with YD student Sister Seng San Mai. During the session, Sister Seng San Mai shared her testimony and insights gained from the lessons.

She expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to study the lessons and thanked Leader Esther for guiding her. Previously, she had not explored the details of Creation, but through meditation, she recognized that the creation of man is God’s special masterpiece. Unlike other creations, which God commanded to “be,” man was created in His own image. She reflected that God’s purpose in creating man is for humans to love Him fully and to live in loving communion with Him in the Garden of Eden.

Sister Seng San Mai highlighted the three initial commands God gave to man:
To be fruitful: This command emphasizes bearing the fruit of love. She noted that while God loves humanity unconditionally, His love becomes complete only when humans respond in love. Unlike human relationships, where love may not be reciprocated, God’s love is certain, and humans are called to return it. To multiply: This command is to help create a world filled with love. To rule and subdue: She interpreted this as exercising dominion over God’s creation with love. Through her reflections, Sister Seng San Mai emphasized the importance of first establishing a firm vertical relationship with God and then nurturing healthy horizontal relationships with others.

Prayer Requests:
To strengthen her vertical relationship with God through daily prayer and the Word.

To share the love received from God with others in her horizontal relationships.

To become a person who bears the fruit of love as God intended from the beginning.

YD Indonesia Conducts Evangelism Outreach at Matana University

On March 23, 2026, the YD Indonesia ministry team carried out an evangelism activity at Matana University.

During this outreach, the team used a direct approach by distributing Easter retreat flyers. Through this activity, they met two families and three young people. Praise God, all of them received the flyers positively.

One of the families who received a flyer asked about the background of the ministry. The team explained that YD Indonesia is part of the Young Disciples Fellowship. Although they did not fully understand at first, after being shown the YD websites, the family gained a clearer understanding and no longer held any negative assumptions about YD Indonesia.

Through this evangelism ministry, YD Indonesia hopes to make the name of God more widely known.

YD Korea Continues Romans Study Offline Meeting

YD Korea has been steadily continuing gatherings with young adults through book clubs and cultural exchange outreach programs, currently focusing on Bible study in the Book of Romans. Participants shared that they spent time receiving grace from the Word and engaging in prayer during the meetings.

One Brother shared, “While reflecting on the depth of Paul’s confession, what stood out to me was that rather than focusing on what I can offer to God, it is more important to meditate on what God has already given me. Recently, attending worship felt burdensome, but I came to realize again that being able to come before God in worship itself is grace.”

Another Brother said, “Paul’s identity as a servant of Christ deeply resonated with me. I was led to acknowledge my own limitations and make a renewed commitment to lay down my sinful nature and live as one who belongs to Christ.”

YD Korea stated, “Through these gatherings, precious individuals are continuing to be connected one by one. We ask for prayers that they may be firmly established in the Word and be able to attend the upcoming Easter retreat, so that they can share in God’s grace together.”

YD Germany A Blessed Time of Bible Study and Fellowship in Hanover

On March 21, YD Germany travelled to the city of Hanover to meet with a German Bible student for a Bible study. The minister also hoped to build trust through fellowship. Although there were train problems and the minister missed one FlixBus, she arrived there in the afternoon. The quality time of fellowship and Bible study made them both very thankful for this gathering.

Through this time together, the minister gained a general understanding of her life, and she shared the importance of knowing God. They mainly studied part of Romans 3, and they also prayed together for her younger brother, who has cancer.

What encouraged the preacher was seeing how seriously she took notes during the study. She had also been faithfully taking notes during previous online sessions. She shared that she desires to follow God, recognizing that people need God, and that she hopes to be guided by Him in her life. She is about to graduate from high school and is seeking God’s guidance for her future direction.

They plan to meet again in Hamburg for fellowship, as she really likes that place. May God’s love always surrounds her, protect her, and be with her.

YD Venezuela Reflects on the Way of the Cross

At the end of the first week of March, a significant day of reflection was held with students of the technical program in the areas of computer science and administration at the Elsa Rosales Technological Institute in Cabrita.

Pastor Cristofer was invited to lead an activity that combined formation, dialogue, and
spiritual accompaniment during a walk organized by the institution. During the walk, the physical experience of the journey was used as an opportunity to develop personal reflections inspired by the Way of the Cross, inviting students to think about the challenges each person faces in their life and how Christ’s example can motivate them to persevere even in the midst of difficulties. As the walk progressed, several students shared how the tiredness, effort, and feeling of exhaustion they experienced during the walk reflected, in some way, personal situations that many experience in their daily lives. Some students expressed that, just as there were moments during the walk when it seemed difficult to continue, they also face circumstances in life that generate discouragement or uncertainty. During the walk, a reflection was also held based on Luke 9:23 , where Jesus declares, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” From this passage, the students were invited to reflect on the meaning of effort, perseverance, and the personal burdens they often face in life.

During the discussion, some young people commented that as they climbed the path and felt the physical fatigue, they could identify with moments in their own lives when they too had felt exhausted or without the strength to continue. One student shared that he had gone through a difficult process after being abandoned by his mother, but expressed that this lesson motivated him to understand that, even in the midst of pain, it is necessary to keep moving forward, trusting that God can guide his path.

The day fostered an environment of listening and support where students could express their concerns and reflect on the value of faith, resilience, and perseverance in the face of personal difficulties. This gathering marks the beginning of new activities that will be developed with students in educational settings, with the aim of continuing to promote moments of reflection, guidance, and holistic development among young people.

In this way, the activity became a meaningful opportunity to sow hope and remind everyone that, even in the most difficult moments of life, it is always possible to find the strength to move forward with faith and purpose.

YD Congo Evangelism Outreach at Marien Ngouabi University in Brazzaville

This Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the congregations of the churches in Brazzaville, Congo mobilized for a time of evangelism at Marien Ngouabi University. They were inspired by the Lord’s command, reflecting on Matthew 28:19–20:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Brothers and sisters committed themselves with faith and determination to this mission. The outreach was marked by rich and edifying conversations with the individuals encountered on campus. Several students showed genuine interest in the biblical message, expressing enthusiasm and a desire to learn more. Phone numbers were exchanged to ensure proper spiritual follow-up.

We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen us in His work, touch hearts, and grant us the grace to win even more souls for His glory. We also pray that those whose contacts were collected will show sincere interest in the Bible studies that will be offered.

YD Korea Members Evangelize at KoreaUniversity Campus

University as the new semester began. With many students returning to campus in a
busy and excited atmosphere, YD took time to meet students and share the gospel.

YD Korea asked for prayers that these souls would not wander, but would be reached
through evangelism, be held by the Word, and come to long for the truth.

YD Colombia Promotes Strategic Evangelism at the University of the Atlantic

On February 10th, a significant evangelistic event was held at the University of the Atlantic, as part of the missionary work that YD has been developing in the Caribbean region, in conjunction with leaders of the Caribbean Presbytery.

The activity resulted in 20 new contacts, young people who expressed interest in
continuing the process through Bible studies and spiritual follow-up. Each of these
contacts will be intentionally approached, ensuring close accompaniment, guidance,
and connection with the active group that YD is building in the city.
The University of the Atlantic has become a key space for the development of fellowship
in Barranquilla. Through consistent and organized work, doors have been opened
among the students, who have shown a willingness to listen to the message and
participate in training and dialogue sessions.

During the day, the genuine interest of several young people was evident. Some of those
previously reached are now participating in person, while others are participating
virtually, which broadens the reach of the work and projects sustained growth in future
meetings. It is hoped that in the following meetings they will actively integrate into the
group, thus strengthening the sense of fellowship within the university campus.

This evangelism is not merely a one-off activity, but a strategic planting aimed at consolidating a solid student movement, founded on firm principles and a clear vision of formation and accompaniment. Each contact represents an opportunity to transform lives and raise up new leaders within the university.

We continue to pray for the University of the Atlantic, for the opening of more spaces,
for the willingness of young people, and for lasting fruit in every life reached.
Furthermore, future meetings are planned to allow for follow-up, a deeper
understanding of biblical teaching, and the strengthening of the student community in
the region.

The work continues with conviction, order and commitment, believing that universities
will continue to be fertile ground for the development of missionary work in the Caribbean.
