About YD

Mission Statement

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.-Mathew 28:19-20

Young Disciples at Berkeley is a chapter of Young Disciples International which is a Christian fellowship (an affiliate member of the World Olivet Assembly and World Evangelical Alliance) that focuses on inviting university students to participate in bible studies, fellowship, and Sunday Worship. We are gladly honored to carry the Great Commission of the Lord to make disciples of all nations, building God’s Kingdom.  We believe that all students should study the Bible thoroughly to find the purpose and meaning of their lives.  Many young people’s lives have changed because of YD’s Bible study.

As an evangelical youth ministry, Young Disciples is committed to:

• – Evangelism: Inviting youths to transform their lives through the love of Jesus Christ revealed on the cross at Calvary.

• – Fellowship: Sharing in the love of God, growing in relationships with God and others.

• – Education: Teach and raise the students in the Words of God through various bible studies covering all the major books, through individual,  group study,  and retreat.

• – Discipleship: Inspiring desire to follow Jesus Christ and imitate Him, being witnesses who proclaim the gospel both through their words and actions.

• – Equipping: Helping believers to discover and develop God-given talents and gifts that will prepare them for a lifetime of serving God and building up others.

• – Mission: Opening a way and providing a platform for the youth of this generation to positively influence the world and advance the kingdom of God as the Christian leader, whether acting locally on campus, in neighborhoods, or serving in overseas missions.
