Praises and Honor to God – Psalm 100:5

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” – Psalm 100:5

Amidst everything that is happening around us right now, we should always remember to praise God above all things. Our verse today is all about just praising God for all the marvelous things He has done. It is indeed great to just give time to praise Him alone and thank Him for all the great things He has done for us. Nothing about us, but only just Him.

The Psalmist of this chapter has been talking about encouraging one another in acknowledging God’s gracious acts for us. We do not need any reason to praise God and thank Him because even from the moment we were born, it was already grace and a gift. The moment we succeed in our lives here on earth, it was His love and mercy that sustained us. Now, even our salvation and our after life is His grace, mercy, love and goodness all together that saved us.

Praise God for He is existentially good, gracious, merciful, loving and faithful. Praise God for everything that He has done for all of us. From Him stretching His hands to meet our halfway stretched hand for help, to comforting us every time we feel bad and sad. Our praises and adoration belongs to Him alone. Indeed He is good and great. He made all things good and wonderful. He made us new and holy. All blessings flow from Him.

Praise God for He is existentially good. He is existentially good because He doesn’t need our praises and adoration to be good. He doesn’t need to be good for us all, but He is good by existence. His goodness does not depend on how much we can praise Him but it is because He is good existentially. If He is not good existentially and His goodness depends on how much we can praise Him, then we are doomed for we cannot praise Him enough. However, praise God for He is existentially good and He does not need our praises and adoration to be good. Indeed He is great and good! His love endures forever.

Praise God for He is gracious and merciful. He is gracious and merciful because even if we are the worst of worst, He still chose to save us from our sins. He is gracious because without His grace, we could’ve been still under the dominion of sin and death. He is gracious because even if we don’t deserve His salvation, He still chose to die for us. He is merciful because He feels for us. He knows that we will have a hard time and we will suffer in hell, so He came to the world to die for our sins. Indeed God is so gracious and merciful for He empathizes for us and gives up His life for us. His love endures forever

Praise God for He is loving. He is loving because the reason why He died for us all is His love for us. He genuinely and irrevocably loves us without condition. We are very special to Him and He doesn’t want to see us suffer in hell because of our sins. He loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son Jesus Christ to die for us. His love is deeper than the ocean and is wider than the sky. Indeed God is loving for He loved us so deeply to the point of dying on the cross for us all. His love endures forever.

Praise God for He is faithful. He is faithful because He never changes. He is not a God who changes so much but He is a God who is always constant. He is faithful in our lives because even if we are sinful and keep on turning our back on Him, He continues to reach out for us and to minister us. He is faithful because He knows what we need and continues to give us all we need even if we are not faithful to Him. God is very faithful because He is the best example of how we should be patient to everyone just as He is patient with us. Indeed God is faithful for He continues to love us; He continues to be good and great in our lives; and He continues to be gracious and merciful to us. His love endures forever.

Let us always remember to praise God always. Let us always put in our minds that He deserves all glory, honor and praises. Let us enter His gates with thanksgiving and His court with praise. May we always remember that our Lord is good and His love endures forever. His faithfulness continues to all generations. Even from Adam’s generation to our present generations, His faithfulness is evident. Praise God for He is our maker, our creator, our friend, our Father, our Lord and our Savior. Forever and ever. Amen.
