Just Believe – Matthew 21:22

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matthew 21:22)

God hears prayers.

Sometimes, you tend to think that if you just have the right amount of faith, and if you pray hard enough, then anything you ask will be given to you. This is a common misconception of how God works in our lives. This is not about how hard and how bold you pray, but this verse speaks about the nature of God. He hears prayers. Jesus is reminding you that there is power in believing what you are praying for. Because you are believing in a living God. The God who sees and knows you intimately.

Life’s circumstances may, at times, bring you to doubt if God really cares. Scripture tells you, He does.  “Cast your burdens unto me, and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28), “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future” (Jer 29:11). God is teaching you to not doubt. It takes faith for you to overcome your doubts & fears. This faith is what pleases God and with this, He works wondrously in your life.
