Heart Check: Let our Hearts be Guarded – PHILIPPIANS 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

A Godly heart is protected from ungodliness. How essential it is in our day-to-day life to come into the presence of God to sustain and carry us through in walking with His spirit that brings understanding to us. Discernment that are only revealed by the Spirit, thoughts and wisdom that are only revealed by the Spirit, responses that are revealed by the Spirit. All of these God revealed thoughts and emotions towards certain things around us take place, because we surrender to Him everyday and allow Him to work in us and through us.

On the other hand, without the peace of God, for a heart that’s wandering, it is easy to fall astray to ungodly traps, thoughts and emotions. What we hear, tell ourselves are so powerful that it can influence our perspectives, beliefs and connection with others. With the daily battle to temptations and ungodly principles, we are called to devote ourselves daily to the Lord, who will find us in confusion, distress and give us His peace that will guard our hearts.

Today, when you are feeling wandering, be encouraged that the Lord longs for the wandering to go home, be restored and let Him guard you while we wait for His coming.
