Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. -Proverbs 10:6

We are living the just man's life, in the world's life of sin. It is our choice to continue living in God's righteousness or to go with the flow with the sinful world. Proverbs 10:6 tells us that whatever we choose, we either gain blessing or curse. What a man sows, that he will also reap. Righteousness brings us great blessings, however, the wicked, due to their ungodly choices and ways, are using violent words hurting each other emotionally and even physically causing violence, cruelty and injustice. Let us make our choices according to His word and according to His ways, we'll never regret it.

There is wonderful blessing when we choose God's way. These are the generous and kind favors from God. Let us walk not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful and avoid violence. It is better to be a just, righteous, upright man who speaks the truth in love. Let us live our life to please God, to bring God's Kingdom a blessing, and to help others see that violence is destructive to themselves and to others. Let us always speak good things that bring life to us and others.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. -Romans 8:28

All Things for Good for Us

God works all things together for good-both for His good and our good. He providentially works all things together for everyone's benefit according to His purpose. God promises us Christians that everything that comes into our lives, because we love God, is going to work out for our good and God's glory. He gives us the glorious, wonderful promise that He will bring His goodness, His power, and His will to those who love and trust Him. As God is glorified, His people will benefit.

In our weakness, we often do not know what to pray for, but we can know, even in such times, that our sovereign God is working all things together for our ultimate good.  We can depend and rely on him to do what he promises, despite the apparent circumstances of our lives. No matter what our individual hardships or circumstances may be, our lives as Christians will work out for the Lord's good. God has even a way of taking our failures, and sins and turning them into good. God is active and will conclude things according to His good and wise design.

He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice." -Luke 8:21

Be a Part of Jesus' Family

We all want to be recognized as a part of Jesus' family. We can be Jesus' brother or sister! Obeying his Father's word and live his Father's will makes it possible.  God presented this gift to us as his way of grace. When we hear the gospel, confess our sins, and place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, we are at that moment born into God's kingdom as His children and become heirs with Him for eternity.

It is the Bible that reminds us that the only way to God and the only way to heaven is to ask God to forgive us, believe that Jesus was the true Son of God and died for us and then we become part of God's family. We are made God's children by God's grace, and our initial response of faith is illustrated through our baptism. Being a part of the family of God is the greatest blessing bestowed upon believers and one that should drive us to our knees in humble adoration.
