Timidity refrains us in our desire to want to speak out to others about spiritual truths. Our lack of courage or confidence hinders us from doing so. A Christian does not have to have fear or worry or anxiety of any kind. God gave us a kind of spirit that gives us courage in order to tell other people what they need to hear about the Lord and His will, it is the kind of spirit that we need to have if we are going to be effective in our fervency of evangelistic efforts. Instead of a Spirit of fear, we have been given a Spirit of power that is accompanied by love and self-discipline.

We're not cowards! We're not fearful! We have the power of the Lord! We belong to Him, we're committed to serve Christ, He gave His life on the cross for us let us serve Him in all ways. It really takes a great amount of courage to become a child of God and to walk as a child of God but as our mind is guarded by God's words, we have the spiritual shields that protects us from the arrows of the spirit of fear inside us. Jesus and His power are in us, let us be confident in Him. Let us stand true and firm. The one who lives by God's power, shares God's love, and displays God's virtues.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. -1 John 3:18

Love toward Each Other

We are living in a world where hatred has replaced sacrificial and steadfast love and in some circumstances, even Christians hate one another and show hatred toward each other. This means that the eternal life that Christ has given is no longer in control with them; it is no longer abiding. They are no longer living like the Christians that they have become, they have become the temporary slave of Satan. Hatred will never result to a proper relationship with God and every manifestation of hate is an attack against God and His rule in our lives. Let's go against the grain and truly love in our words and actions.

The model of true love is Jesus Christ, no demonstration of love could be greater. His death offered the most powerful evidence of love. Love is self-sacrifice and the most frequent witness to the love of our hearts is what comes out of our mouths. Our words are always reflected in our deeds, God knows when they are true. The test of true love is whether we are actually self-sacrificial. May God's love be seen in our actions of genuine concern for what the world needs from us is not more talk about love, but simply more love.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9

Confess and be forgiven

Because of God's grace and perfect sacrifice for our sins, we are purified of any stain from sin. We are not only forgiven but we made clean and new again. God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness, if we confess our sins by admitting that sin is a sign of being a true Christian-a person who now walks in the Light. Our sins are immediately and totally covered by the sacrificial work of Christ.  If God cleanses us from all unrighteousness, then we are cleansed forever!

Acknowledging Christ as our savior is the first step to repentance. In order for us to come out of darkness and lies, we must see the truth of ourselves and of Christ. We confess to be forgiven and cleansed by God and therefore in fellowship with Him and filled with the Spirit.  As we accept this gift of love through confession and repentance, we must help others also to come into Christ by showing them truth. Let us help them walk in the wonderful freedom and power of the New!
