Advent Devotional for December 13th: “Joy in the Journey
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
— Psalm 16:11
Reflection:
The Advent season reminds us that joy isn’t found in perfect circumstances, achievements, or accolades—it’s found in God’s presence. For students balancing finals, applications, and responsibilities, joy can feel elusive. But today, pause and remember that Jesus came to bring life, and life to the fullest (John 10:10).
True joy doesn’t fade with success or failure; it anchors you during both. Let Christ’s joy strengthen you in this season of waiting.
Prayer Prompt:
Ask God to help you experience His joy today, no matter your circumstances. Pray for others in your community who may be struggling to find hope and joy.
Action Step:
- Take a break from your studies to do something that brings you joy—whether it’s a walk, music, or journaling.
- Share this joy by encouraging a classmate or roommate today.
